In 2008 and 2010 Corey Haddon and Amanda Wall succumbed to the deadly disease melanoma, respectively.  So that their passing was not in vain, a group of friends and family convened to see what they could do to making something good out of a bad situation.  This group laid the groundwork for a committee that identified three main goals as their mission, 1) keep the memories of Amanda and Corey alive, 2) raise awareness to the dangers of melanoma and 3) raise funds for research and education.  Well, we have done exactly that after four amazing years.

Cumulatively, we have raised over $150,000 that went directly to the Melanoma Research Foundation, we attracted over 200 participants at each of our four annual memorial walks and we were able keep Amanda and Corey front and center in all of our activities.  Without your support this level of success could have never happened and for this we are extremely thankful to you.

When the committee met recently to discuss future activities, it was decided that we would take a break in 2015 from any fundraising/awareness activities due to the work load of its members.

Please continue to spread the word about Melanoma and the simple steps that everyone can do to reduce the chances of becoming another statistic attributed to this disease.

And of course, keep Amanda, Corey, and all those who are battling Melanoma in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you,

The Amanda Wall - Corey Haddon Committee
